DESPERATELY SEEKING - LOST EMIGRANT

This is a photo of my great grand uncle Oskar Albin Gustafsson.

He was born October 19, 1865 in Hångsdala parish, Skaraborg/Västra Götaland, Sweden.

This is the only "proof" we have of him making it to Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Had it not been for Oskar Albin, and the mystery around his emigration, I might not have begun researching my ancestors. My genealogical journey took its start when my grandmother Svea told me about her uncle who left Sweden for America in 1891, and then disappeard without a trace.

Oskar Albin's younger brother, Johan Simon (Gustafsson) Wallin, travelled to the US in 1895 in search of the missing brother.  As far as we know - without any luck.

Unfortunately, Oskar Albin is yet to be found.
Any information provided in locating him would be greatly appreciated.

I have been very fortunate to receive assistance from individuals who are dedicated to helping others in their research, such as the RAOGK (Random Acts Of Genealogical Kindness), private researchers, professional researchers as well as genealogical organizations and societies.
